My G/F just looked out the window and saw that there is a rocket heading for space. Anyone know what type of rocket it is and what its mission is?

It's a beautiful clear sky and I can still see the smoke trail getting longer as the rocket climbs.

Thats weird. There is one scheduled for tomorrow. We are 15 miles away from KSC and did not see a thing.

Your right. Maybe it was launched someplace out in the ocean off a ship.

You actaully saw a high altitude aircraft I saw the very same thing at the Tomoka Bridge on US 1 in Ormond when waitng for the 226 train and I watches it go right over me and northwest...rockets do not do that. They arc out to the east over the launch zone off shore.

It was an aircraft.

There is an Atlas Heavy scheduled for tomorrow at 8:25 AM but it may be delayed.

Nope! I saw it too first thing I thought of actually was a rocket then realized it's going in a straight line...I spotted it at US 1 and I-95 about 7:30 AM. When I got to the Tomoka Bridge it had gone past and off to the northwest passing overhead.

Definitely an aircraft.

All rocket launches will go out over the ocean to some degree.

Nope not dizzy, saw this about three hours before I started any work today on the flower bed. But thanks for the concern.

I remember about a year ago the same thing off the west coast and many thought it was also some secret rocket launch. But was just a jet and the angle and sun light that made it look as if it was going up instead of across as it was.
