It's all fed by greed, greed and yes, even more greed.

What time and what station was that at. I saw $3.66 when I drove there late morning today around 11:30am. If it is $3.71 then that means it went up another 5 cents since Sat. This is getting ridicules again.

Maybe $3.66 was the 'cash' price?

It was, but the station that I go to hasn't started the different pricing for gas yet that I'm aware of. They do not have any signage for different prices for different types of payments.

That is because Obama is pushing electric and CNG cars. We have to put a end to using crude oil, if the price of gasoline ever hit $6.00 the US would tailspin into a deep depression.

For those of you who think that the price of gas is starting to get out of control again, here's a little blast from the not so distant past.

Thanks for reminding me first thing this morning that I'm pi**ed at the gas prices.
BTW, you said that the reciept is from "a blast from the not so distant past" 2001 IS in the long distant past, 11 yrs. ago. Now if you would have showed something from 2008 with that price on it. It's be a different ball game. Nevertheless, it's frustrating to see the cost rising again at such a fast pace.

Station on Belle Terre & corner of Palm Coast Pky was .10 higher yesterday than Sunday, and Sunday it was .12 higher than the prior Wends. because I filled up then, thats .22 in a week and for what nothing but greed pure and simple, then the oil companies are going to list their profits for the year.

Inasmuch as petroleum is a globally marketed commodity, it appears that the U.S. dollar is weakening rapidly.

Admit it... eleven years blew by real fast. But think about what was going on in the world when this receipt was printed up. America had just been attacked three and a half months earlier, we were in a full blown war with Afganistan and Iraq was in our sites. Yet with all this turmoil, the speculators weren't going all bat crap crazy and the price of gasoline was still at a most reasonable $1.12.9 a gallon. That was only about a nickel higher than during the Reagan years. But now...... but now..... all there has to be is a press release stating that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's hemorrhoids are flaring up again so he's feeling a bit cranky, and pow!... up 30 cents overnight!

Yep it did go by fast, and I agree with the speculation and Mahmoud's hemorrhoids. Like another poster posted, it's all about GREED. These speculators, oil companies, congressmen and congresswoman have everyone by the B*lls because they all know we need gas to function on a daily bases. Man I wish I won the lottery last night and I wouldn't have to work.
