Nature's mystery
A black or brown cow eats green grass under a blue sky and gives white milk. Go figure!

I'd love to see some construction going on there...it would mean jobs for the community and a slight sign the economy is recovering. Instead we get the enjoyment of watching cows meander along the hwy...
Of course my choice would not be another Publix.

Sometimes a scene like cows or horses quietly grazing, or just a green open space is such a calming relief from nothing but buildings, homes, businesses etc. Not that I regret them being around, but I do think people need some peaceful scenes also, nature can be a good thing.

I have been in the house since Memorial Day between the weather and two bouts of serious colds/flu. Mentally, I was going crazy wanting to be outside in the sun and fresh air, but wasn't able. Today, we took a nice bike ride down St. Joe and over to Graham Swamp. I feel so much better tonight. I love that we have such beautiful places in our town to enjoy-nature is truly calming and peaceful to the soul.

Rode past the area on US-1 where the cows where twice in the past two days. The cows were there in large numbers both days. The first day I rode by was Sunday at around 2:30 in the afternoon and then again yesterday at around 7:00 in the morning.

I was told by someone they were going to relocate the entire Palm Harbor Shopping Center including the Publix.
Don't know how true this all is and I can vouch that the source is not that reliable, just passing on what I heard.

I hope this is just a rumor - I have enough trouble finding my way around now. And . . . I love to see cows & horses roaming around.

A check of the Building Dept. Website shows no permits pulled for that area of US 1 nor a Matanzas Woods address. Maybe a phone call to them alerting them of construction is in order?
I am going to guess that it is Right of Way or utility work going on, otherwise I'm pretty sure a permit would be required. In fact for many other right of way projects there are permits pulled!

We need more roads with intersections and red light cameras. Gotta make that money!

I just assumed they were drilling some sort of a well field for Palm Coast Utility out in that pasture and now are in the process of building a road to it.
(Kind of boring speculation and nothing to get excited about!)

A good place to look if you want to know what the plans are for an area in Palm Coast.

Cows Were A MOOving Experience
Someone had said they were building ball fields. I find it strange there are no signs. I also see they are putting a road in. Everyone loved the cows that rode by. However, I worried about them getting hurt or even worse killed. There are a lot of bad people in this world.
