Default Training and Guns

Not sure where else to put this but it seems right to be where people are discussing their security and to defend themselves and their families.

This comes from another place and they have requested that self defense training be made available to anyone who might be interested.

Shooting Information
The National Shooting Sports Foundation has a lot of informative videos on their website that covers many different areas of shooting. Good information can be found to help educate everyone in the shooting community for anyone who wants to learn.

I've heard that more training about weapons and firearms may be a good thing. So then---Bump, Bump

I see and hear people ask all the time about defending themselves and thier property. Everyone should read up and educate themselves and the laws and what they can do.Every situation is different and circumstances are different in most questions, educate yourself and be prepared is the bottom line

Here in Flagler, where are the gun ranges that are open to the public?
I have always used the one on 92 in Volusia County, which just opened up again, it was closed for about 3 months.

As far as I know there isn't one in Flagler County. But it's been awhile since I went to one I could be wrong. I usually go to a friends house out in the Mondex area and just shoot in his backyard.

We found a public gun range a few weeks ago when we were out traveling the roads of FL. Somewhere in Ocala Nat'l Forest. Couldn't tell you the name of the town, but we saved it on our GPS. If you're interested in traveling about an hour or so to get to it, we can give you the coordinates.

It's a shame that there is no where local to go, everything here is private and you have pay to have a membership or drive up to a half hour more to go somewhere to train and shoot.

Is it legal to shoot for hours out in the Mondex? I have a lot I use out there, but I will only do a clip or two. The lot backs up to a canal, and the dirt wall is 10 foot high and 10 foot wide at the 4 foot level. Someone out on Mango has a full automatic, 50 round bursts sounds like a AK 47. Their good for about 1/2 before the sheriff cars are headed in that direction.
