Anyone tried it?
It's aggressive but I am seriously considering it at this point. Not just to loose a few pounds, but it is supposed to be a spiritual experience as well.
To get the same health benefits from juice fasting and alike would take a lot longer. Anything over a couple days is generally done supervised the first few times at least, anyone have any experience or recommendations ?
Where do I go? Who do I see?
I thought doing it for a week the first time would be a reasonable goal. What will be harder: no food or no FC? :?: &| :D
Silence, including no phone, internet, FC , FB etc. is part of it. :worry:
If you never tried it: go 1 day ( to start with ) without any contact with others, no distractions, internet, books or anything. Just you and your thoughts- watch what happens. Be prepared for a emotional experience. This is only for the brave. ;)
I'm working my way up to 30 days ( with a fast but not a water fast for that long ) :)
I will need a clean environment ( nothing but healthy food available and out of reach of everyday contact and concerns , I'm considering house sitting )
Anyone want to join me?

My child would like to have spanish all year since it is a high school credit but since we do not know if he got a 4 or 5 we are afraid to fill it out. He definately doesn't want dance, chorus or band.

It really makes me mad on how they favor the advanced kids and the rest are treated like crap. To me this is favoritism. By the way he is in spanish right now with straight A's. But once again why grade them if it only comes down to the FCAT results. Why do we even get report cards? It doesn't count for anything.

Not trying to hide herself or any parts of the body which were in full view to all passing. 8o

As I passed her I told her there was a bathroom available for her to use just a short walk inside Publix and there was not a need to do that in the parking lot. She responded that she was sick. I feel sorry for her if she is sick but there are numerous products available for adults to wear if they cannot control their bladder without exposing themselves and their urine to everyone.

I went into the store and reported it because no parent should have to explain to their child about what the woman was doing. When the manager went out she was still at it.

Under Romney, Massachusetts Had Highest Per Capita Debt Of Any State
By Travis Waldron on May 16, 2012 at 12:50 pm

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney used a speech in Iowa yesterday to blame President Obama for a “prairie fire of debt” that is supposedly spreading across the nation. Romney continued the assault today, giving a speech in Florida in front of a giant clock featuring a running total of the nation’s debt.

As ThinkProgress noted yesterday, Romney’s attack ignores that his own economic plan would add more than $10 trillion to the national debt. It also ignores Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts, which had the nation’s highest per capita debt total when he left office in 2007.

According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Economic Analysis (compiled by Connecticut’s chief analyst in 2009), Massachusetts had $10,504 in per capita bond debt in 2007, the highest total in the nation. No other state had more than $10,000 in per capita debt, and only one had more than $8,000. Massachusetts ranked second, behind only Alaska, in per capita debt as a percent of personal income, with debt making up more than 21 percent of each resident’s income.

State bond debt isn’t altogether a bad thing — it finances infrastructure projects and other programs that benefit state residents. But Romney’s accumulation of it while governor is an element of his Massachusetts story that he regularly omits.
Romney has painted the national debt as a moral crisis that “threatens what it means to be an American.” And yet, Romney’s past and his plans for the future prove that he isn’t actually willing to address it.

Two years ago I bought a Nook from Barnes & Noble mainly because I love to read. I kind of fought it because I said "I liked holding a book". Well that changed quickly and I love it. Well yesterday we were in St. Augustine and I wanted to check out the new Nook with light. Yup, VV bought it for me for an early birthday present. This Nook is awesome. In a matter of minutes all my books were on the new Nook. I was able to make the shelves as before to list the books I have read. The face of it is larger because it is a touch screen. I sat out on the lanai last night in total darkness and read. And with these ole eyes of mine it was fantastic. You just hit a button and can make it dim all the way to bright! Because there was a special going on my Barnes & Noble membership took off $10.00 which was a nice surprise. I am going to cancel the membership when it runs out because they send me all kinds of coupons but none of them can be used for Nook books because they are much cheaper than hardcover. Finally a product that does what it says it will do. So if you are thinking about it, the lighted Nook is great to read in the dark and in the daytime you just shut it off. Plus I can still use the other one. Happy reading.:-)

A while back someone asked how you know if you got your fuel perks at Winn Dixie which gave me pause to think about it. Went shopping today and marked down on my list everything that was marked as fuel perk on the shelves. As the items were being scanned you can see the word fuel perk and the item on the receipt in bold letters along with the reward savings at the bottom of the receipt. I ended up with coupons and reward savings of $72.04 and $1.10 per gallon. The best deal was Clorox at 2 for $4.00. I had 2 $1.00 coupons plus it had a .5 fuel perk. So I was able to get 2 gallons of Clorox for $2.00 plus .5 toward my perks. I did not have to compromise buying something I did not want just for a fuel perk. They are all over the store. Happy shopping and save at the pump.:-)
